Dr.Sasmita is specialized in advanced surgeries in Gastrointestinal, Hepatopancreatic biliary, Gynaecological, Urological, Cytoreductive surgeries, HIPEC, PIPAC, Head neck and Breast cancers. She has been trained in managing and treating complex Gastrointestinal, Hepato pancreatic biliary cancer cases, minimally invasive Laparoscopic and Robotic surgeries. She is certified for PIPAC under renowned experts Prof. Martin Hubner and Prof. Somshekhar at Aster Hospital, Bangalore and trained in CRS and HIPEC.
Dr.Sasmita Vadgaonkar has completed her M.B.B.S and internship from MUHS (Maharashtra University of Health Science), Dr.VMGMC, Solapur before pursuing post graduation in General Surgery at Jehangir Hospital and Research Centre, Pune. There is she refined her surgical skills and got trained in routine surgical cases and emergencies. Then she did her Doctorate in National Board of Surgical Oncology from Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research centre where she got extensively trained in head neck cancers, Breast cancer, Gynaecological cancers, Soft tissue sarcoma, thoracic, Gastrointestinal and Hepato pancreatic biliary cancer surgeries. After the completion she did 6 months post exclusively in Breast Cancer unit at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research centre where she refined her skills in Breast surgeries, Oncoplasty and management of Breast Cancers. Then she got extensively trained in her primary focus of interest which is Gastrointestinal and Hepatopancreatic biliary cancer surgeries for 4 years. She is Intuitive certified Robotic Console Surgeon.
